7.F. Vote by Mail Ballots in the Polling Place

Some, but not all, counties and local Boards of Election Commissioners allow voters to submit vote by mail ballots at the Polling Place.

Information about local procedures should be available on the Election Authority's website.

The Illinois State Board of Elections website also provides information about vote by mail, including a statewide list of ballot drop box locations.

Before Election Day, the poll watcher team should explain how vote by mail ballots are handled in the Polling Place within their jurisdiction.
