2.A. Poll Watcher Requirements

2.A.3. Credentialed

All poll watchers are required to be credentialed and present those credentials to the election judge upon entering the Polling Place.

The sponsoring organization is credentialed by the Election Authority (i.e., County Clerk or local Board of Elections).

Poll watchers are credentialed by their sponsoring organization (party, candidate, local civic organization, or organized group of proponents or opponents of a ballot proposition).

The Election Authority does not credential poll watchers. In fact, the Election Authority cannot ask a sponsoring organization for a list of poll watchers.
