2.D.1. Signing In & Out At The Polling Place
The poll watcher only has to present their credentials once a day, but may be required to sign-out and sign-in every time they leave the Polling Place.
However, the poll watcher does not have to sign-in or sign-out to:
- leave or return to the Polling Room.
- go to the washroom,
- go to the designated break room,
- make a phone call or talk to someone outside of the Polling Room,
- leave the immediate Polling Place to smoke or talk to those outside the 100 foot Campaign Free Zone,
Sign-out & sign-in when leaving the Polling Place for a meal break or when leaving the Polling Place for extended period of time.
If you leave the Polling Room for more than 20 (twenty) minutes or leave the Polling Place, then sign-out.
