5.G.1. What If the Registrant States That They Are Not A Citizen?

A person can inquire if they can vote, stating that they are not a citizen.

As part of the voter registration process, the registrant is asked if they are a citizen. They will also sign an affidavit that they are a citizen of the United States.

For those who are not citizens, the Election Judge will explain that since they are not a citizen, they cannot vote and will not register them to vote.
