6.D. Examine the Voting Machines

6.D.5. Confirm That the Voting Machine Is On Public View

The poll watcher will check that the entire voting machine is in full view.

Each voting machine should be positioned:

  • at least one (1) foot from every wall and partition,
  • at least three (3) feet from any election officials or table used by them, this includes poll watchers,
  • placed that no person can see or determine how the voter casts their vote.
