7.E. Ballot Application Station

The first station a voter encounters upon entering the Polling Room is the ballot application station.

At the ballot application station:

  1. The voter states their name and address.
  2. An Election Judge repeats the name and address back to the voter in a strong, clear voice.
  3. The Election Judge confirms the voter's registration in the voter rolls.
  4. A ballot application is completed or printed.
  5. The voter confirms the information and signs the affidavit on the ballot application.
  6. The voter's signature is compared to the signature on record.
  7. An Election Judge initials the ballot application, and the voter proceeds to the ballot station.

7.E.1. Grace Period Registration

Same-day voter registration under Grace Period Registration may take place at the ballot application station or at another station within the Polling Room designated for Grace Period registration.
