Chapter Seven — Other In–Person Early Voting Sites
F. Vote Centers
Vote Centers are a new option for the 2022 election season.
Vote Centers are open on Election Day only.
Like early voting and Grace Period polling places, Vote Centers handle multiple precincts within a county or with the jurisdiction of a local Board of Election Commissioners.
All the rules of Election Day polling places are followed.
See: Chapter 5, In–Person, In–Precinct Voting.
What the Poll Watcher Is Looking For
Since the Vote Center covers the entire election authority jurisdiction, the problem of a voter from within the jurisdiction voting in the wrong precinct should not be a problem.
However, if the voter is from outside the county or the jurisdiction of the local board of election commissioners, the election authority must provide to the election judge a telephone number to give the voter to locate the voter's polling place.
