7.D.1. Where Student Union Voting at Public Universities Takes Place
Voting will take place in the student union of the public universities listed below; beginning the sixth day before the election (the Wednesday before the election) up to and including the fourth day before the election (the Friday before the election).
The hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Cordell Reed Student Union at the Chicago State University
- University Union at the Eastern Illinois University
- Hall of Governors in Building D at the Governors State University
- Bone Student Center at the Illinois State University
- NEIU Student Union at the Northeastern Illinois University
- Holmes Student Center at the Northern Illinois University
- SIUC Student Center at the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale
- Morris University Center at the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
- Student Center at 750 S. Halsted, Chicago Campus, University of Illinois
- Public Affairs Center, University of Illinois at Springfield
- Illini Union at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- University Union at the Western Illinois University at the Macomb
7.D.1.a. Who Can Vote On Campus?
Any citizen, qualified to vote, can vote on campus. Grace period registration is also available.
Only when there is a shortage of voting equipment which can accommodate varied ballots, as described in 10 ILCS 5/1-12(a). this link opens in a new browser tab., will voting be restricted to the campus and surrounding precincts.
