2.C.3.a. Waiting To Vote Within the Polling Room

2.C.3.a.1. Voting Paper Ballots in Voting Booths

Only two voters who have signed-in and have received their ballots are allowed to wait in the Polling Room for a voting booth to open so that the voter can vote.

The number of voters in the Polling Room at any one time is the number of occupied voter booths plus two signed-in voters waiting for an unoccupied voting booth.

Voters waiting for a voting booth cannot enter the voting booth area or approach occupied voting booth until there is an empty voting booth.

Voters with ballots cannot leave the polling room.

Voters who have not been issued a ballot must wait outside of the Polling Room, but within the Polling Place until one voter leaves the Polling Room before another voter can enter the Polling Room

2.C.3.a.2. Voting Machines

In Polling Places where voting machines are used, the maximum number of voters who have already signed-in but are waiting to vote is equal to the number of voting machines.

The number of voters in the Polling Room at any one time is double the number of voting machines. The number of voters voting using the voting machines plus the number of signed-in voters waiting for a voting machine.

Voters who have not signed-in must wait outside of the Polling Room, but within the Polling Place until a voter leaves the Polling Room before another voter can enter the Polling Room.
