6.A.2. The Public in the Polling Place Before the Polls Open
In addition to poll watchers, members of the public are allowed into the Polling Place before the polls open to observe the examination of the ballot box or tabulator.
While present in the Polling Place before the polls open, members of the public are not permitted to touch election materials and must follow the same rules as poll watchers and other observers.
Unlike poll watchers, members of the public may be kept out of the Polling Room until the Election Judges are ready to examine the ballot box or tabulator.
Members of the public are not required to present credentials.
Members of the public must exit the Polling Place before the polls open.
