Once the poll watcher has presented his/her credentials and signed in, and while the polling place is open, the poll watcher is free to leave the polling place and return "provided that such continuing action does not disrupt the conduct of the election." Poll watchers may be substituted during the day, but the substitutes must also be credentialed.
