2.C. Who Are The People In the Polling Place?

Officials in performance of their official duties are allowed to enter and remain in the polling place.
Upon entering the polling place, such representatives shall display their official credentials or other identification to the judges of election.
Those allowed in the polling place are:
- The election authority for that jurisdiction,
- The State Board of Elections,
- Law enforcement, in the performance of their official election duties, including but not limited to:
- United States Attorney
- a State's attorney
- the Attorney General
- State, county, or local police department
What the Poll Watcher Is Looking For.
Keep in mind that every other observer listed is in the Polling Place under the same rules & restrictions as poll watchers.
This should not be a problem since they are professionals. The poll watcher does not interact with them unless asked a direct question.
- They cannot touch election materials.
- They cannot touch election equipment.
- They cannot instruct a voter on the use of election equipment.
- They cannot instruct or assist a voter in depositing a ballot in the ballot box/tabulator.
- They must provide that "the secrecy of the ballot is not impinged".
