2.D. Who Are The People In the Polling Place?
2.D.3. Children
Children under the age of eighteen (18) may enter the voting booth area if all three (3) criteria are met:
- (a.) The child/children must accompany a voting parent or voting guardian.
- (b.) The parent or guardian must request from the local election official (election judge or election worker) that their child/children accompany them.
- (c.) The election official agrees.
The local voting official can take into consideration if the child or children are likely to disrupt or interfere with the voting process or influence the casting of a vote.
