7.J.1. Waiting for an Open Voting Booth
Only two voters who have received ballots may wait in the Polling Room for an available voting booth.
The maximum number of voters in the Polling Room at any one time is the number of occupied voting booths, plus two voters who have been issued ballots and are waiting.
Voters waiting for a voting booth cannot enter the voting booth area or approach an occupied voting booth until there is an empty voting booth.
A voter who has been issued a ballot cannot leave the Polling Room until:
- The vote has been cast, this link opens in a new browser tab, or
- The ballot is returned to the election judge and marked "SPOILED", this link opens in a new browser tab.
