7.B.1. Temporary Branch Polling Places In Early Voting.

Temporary Branch Polling Places are short–term, non–permanent Polling Places.

The example of a Temporary Branch Polling Place found in the statutes is the Polling Place in the county jail.

Temporary Branch Polling Places may have different hours than other Early Voting Polling Places.

Temporary Branch Polling Places may be a fully functional Polling Place, comparable to Student Union Voting at Public Universities. this link opens in a new browser tab.

Temporary Branch Polling Places may be hybrid voting site where vote by mail ballots are delivered to registered voters by election judges, comparable to I, Nursing Homes & Other Care Facilities. this link opens in a new browser tab.

If the Temporary Branch Polling Place occurs during the Grace Period, with election judges in attendance, then Grace Period voter registration should be available.

Rules are consistent with a other Early Voting Polling Place including but not restricted to:

  • Electioneering,
  • Civil rights,
  • Access for the disabled, and
  • State statutes.
