2.C. The Lay of the Land, The Polling Place and Central Counting Facility

2.C.4. Voting Booth Area

The voting booth area is there for one reason: to provide a safe place to vote.

Access to the voting booth area is restricted to:

  • Voters.
  • Election Judges assisting a voter.
  • Challengers (i.e., poll watchers).
  • Children under 18, when accompanied by their parent or guardian AND with the assent of Election Judge.

The police cannot enter the voting booth area, except as directed by the Election Judges to keep order and enforce the law.
